LSS-MT
offers home study service and post-placement reports to couples
involved in privately arranged adoption in which the birthmother
personally knows them. This does not include private adoptions
arranged by third party facilitators. Montana law does not allow
for facilitated adoptions.
Agency to Agency
LSS-MT
offers home study services to couples who desire to adopt a
child from the foster care system or any child from a licensed,
non-profit private agency.
For both direct parental
placement and courtesy home studies, the home study process
involves:
