Search & Post-Adoption

The issues of adoption continue throughout the years following the child’s placement. Lutheran Social Services of Montana’s post- adoptive program is designed to meet the needs of birthparents, adoptive parents and adoptees in the years after the legal finalization of the adoption. Services at this time include: Adoptive file searches for additional social/medical information, registry services, search/reunion services, and post-adoption counseling. Update information is always welcome to be placed in the LSS-MT file.

LSS-MT is also authorized to participate in the confidential intermediary program which serves those whose adoptions were not arranged through LSS-MT.
