Lutheran Social Services of Montana currently offers a counseling program in our Billings office. We have a rich history of extending Christ’s mercy and love to birthparents, adoptive parents and adoptees, and would like to further offer this same compassion to individuals and families experiencing emotionally painful circumstances.
The LSS counseling program offers client-centered, confidential, psychotherapeutic counseling to individuals and families. We desire that all individuals, uniquely created in the image of God, lead vibrant lives while experiencing personal and relational wholeness. Therefore we promote inner healing and growth to individuals and families by looking at many aspects of their life; physical, emotional, mental, social and spiritual using professional clinical training. We accept all major insurance, as well as Medicaid and Medicare. We also offer a sliding fee scale to the benefit clients facing extenuating circumstances such as loss of employment or disability.
Mike Nicholes, LCSW, has 30+ years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families. His approach to counseling is to utilize a caring, supportive relationship with clients to help them identify and meet their counseling needs and goals. Mike has specialized training in CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and Brief Solution Focused Therapy, and has helped clients who may be experiencing a wide range of difficulties, including stress, depression, anxiety, marital problems, grief and loss, and crisis intervention.
