Over 50 years ago, Lutheran congregations in Montana joined together to form the Lutheran Welfare Association.   Today we are known as Lutheran Social Services of Montana.  Although the name has been changed, the concern and caring for children and families hasn't. Lutheran Social Services is committed to ensuring the well-being of children whose lives are entrusted to our care.

LSS-MT has services to assist families with: adoption/home studies; child placement; pregnancy counseling for birthparents; supportive services following placement; international home studies; and post-adoptive services.

LSS-MT serves the entire state of Montana with adoption caseworkers located in Billings, Bozeman, Kalispell, Great Falls, and Missoula. We are proud to be a division of St. John's Lutheran Ministries.

We've Moved!

Visit our new office locations in Billings and Missoula!  Our new Billings office is on the St. John's Lutheran Ministry Campus at 2429 Mission Way.  In Missoula we have moved to City Life Community Center at 1515 Fairview Avenue, Suite 230.  Stop by and see the new digs!

 

 

Golf Challenge a HUGE Success!

On August 25th, over 120 golfers and volunteers came together for a great day of fun and fellowship at the 6th Annual Golf Challenge held at the Polson Bay Country Club.  Over $13,000 was raised to  help provide counseling to those facing an unplanned pregnancy (which is free of charge, non-discriminatory, and without obligation).
